Bloom AI is an AI-powered tutoring platform designed specifically for education. It offers personalized AI learning companions for students at secondary and tertiary level institutions. When Blooms AI is partnered with students in the physical classroom it is hypothesised that students would have enhanced cognitive engagement and increased confidence in the learning that they pursue.

Since 2022, with the advent of ChatGPT, GenAI is impacting on ways that teaching and learning is being conceptualised, delivered and assessed. This presentation provides an overview of three research projects that have been undertaken examining the use of AI at UTS and in NSW secondary schools.

Lina Gurung is a Nepali scholar with Gurung heritage. Her PhD was on experiences of online and distance education learners in Nepal, and she has worked as a gender coordinator in a project enhancing access of teacher professional development using ICT.
